Data centers & chips10
- Data-center heat batteryHeat battery that cuts data center cooling peaks
Material that melts to soak up heat at peak load, then refreezes at night
- PFAS-free coolantCoolant for data centers after 3M leaves PFAS
Immersion fluid for AI servers: right boiling point, nonflammable, low climate impact, and light, since fluorinated fluids are ~2× the density of water and add floor load
- Cooling-loop corrosionCorrosion inhibitor for liquid-cooling loops
Keep copper cold plates and steel pipes in glycol cooling loops from corroding and leaking over servers
- Long-life transformer oilLonger-life transformer oil
Insulating oil that resists oxygen and moisture, so transformers last longer and run hotter
- Heat paste for AI chipsHeat paste that pulls heat out of AI chips
Layer between chip and cold plate that conducts heat and stays soft
- Waste-heat coolingSorbent that cools data centers with waste heat
Water sorbent that runs an adsorption chiller off server heat, cutting power and water use
- Stronger data-center floorsConcrete additive for heavier data center floors
Admixture for stronger, lower-carbon slabs, so floors carry 400+ psf with less steel and cement
- Cleaner chip precursorChip-making precursor that deposits cleaner films
Gas molecule that lays down one atomic layer at a time, with fewer impurities
- Long-life blue OLEDLong-life blue emitter for OLED screens
Blue pixels that are bright and last as long as red and green
- TMAH recoveryTMAH recovery for chip fabs
Pull the toxic TMAH developer out of fab rinse water and reuse it
